Harpin Jonny and the Primadon's feature some of the foremost musicians on the Central coast. Their unique blend of rock, rhythm and blues, gives the crowd a variety of music that gets them up and dancing. Their goal is always to provide the best entertainment and to create a memorable musical experience.
History of the band:
Harpin Jonny is a virtuoso harmonica player that has played for over 30 years. He has been featured on several radio and television venues, performed with countless bands. He has recorded on numerous CD projects and has established himself as a sought after performer.
Ken Kraft is a Santa Cruz local legend performing in the areas since the early 1970's. His latest accomplishments include creating the Beatle sensational White Album Ensemble. He was an original member of the group Snail and received the 2004 Gail Rich Musician of the year award. His stellar guitar playing and vocals bring energy and excitement to the band.
Craig Owens phenomenal voice gives chills to the audience while his solid bass playing helps carry the rhythm section. His credentials also run deep by his performances with the Lacy J. Dalton band and numerous others.
Jim Norris is the driving heartbeat of the band. He was also a Gail Rich Musician of the year award winner in 2006. He is always in demand for his great talents. Jim also is a member of the Lacy J. Dalton band and numerous others throughout the country.
Harpin Jonny and the Primadons play locally at the various clubs and have opened for headliners at the Catalyst for years. They enjoy playing festivals, private parties and events. Several of the songs from Harpin Jonny's new CD "Harpster" are receiving some great air time on KPIG radio.
